Cookie policy

Full transparency on cookies and trackers.

This page details the cookies and trackers used by FounderPulse, their purpose, retention, the providers involved and how you can exercise your choices.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a site. It stores browsing information, preferences or technical identifiers. Here "cookie" also covers similar technologies: pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and session storage.

2. Categories of cookies

FounderPulse uses only two categories of trackers, all first-party:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to work and to provide the service. They do not require consent.
  • Audience measurement: understanding which pages actually help visitors. Subject to your consent, except the strictly anonymous measurement described below.

No advertising trackers: no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads or LinkedIn Insight Tag. If this ever changes, this page will be updated and your consent requested before anything is set.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These trackers keep the site working:

  • Sign-in session (local storage "sb-…-auth-token"): keeps you signed in. Removed when you sign out.
  • fp_cookie_consent: stores your cookie choices. Duration: 13 months.
  • fp-lang (cookie): chosen display language. Duration: 12 months.
  • fp-theme and sidebar_state: light or dark theme and side menu state (7 days for the latter).
  • fp_ref_code: referral code, only if you arrive through a referral link, removed once the referral is recorded.
  • Drafts and interface preferences (prefixes "fp:", "fp_", "fp-", "fp."): message draft, banners already closed, daily plan progress, the result of the no-signup trial. They stay on your device.

You can block them in your browser, but sign-in and some features would stop working.

4. Audience measurement

Audience measurement is done in-house: no third-party tool is used.

  • fp_landing_variant: which version of the home page you see, to learn which presentation is clearest. No personal data. Kept until you clear your browser.
  • fp_visitor: random visit identifier. Without consent, it is limited to the current tab and no event is sent. With your consent, it is kept for 13 months at most and page views are recorded in our own database, with no third-party tool.
  • fp_acq: where your visit came from (referring site, campaign). With your consent, it is linked to your account if you sign up; without consent, it stays in the tab and is never sent.
  • fp.visit (strictly anonymous measurement, no consent needed): marks the visit in the current tab so it is counted once. Only the landing page, the referrer and the device type are recorded, with no identifier, for our own visit counter. Deleted when the tab closes; statistics kept for 400 days.

5. Advertising

FounderPulse uses no advertising or targeting cookies. The banner's "marketing" option is off by default and currently sets no tracker.

6. Retention

  • Consent: 13 months, in line with CNIL recommendations.
  • Audience measurement: 13 months at most with consent; limited to the tab without consent.
  • Sign-in session: until you sign out.

7. Managing your choices

You have several ways to control cookies:

  • The consent banner shown on your first visit. You can reopen it at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.
  • Your browser settings let you block all cookies or specific types.
  • Advertising opt-out platforms: Your Online Choices, DAA.

Refusing analytics or marketing cookies does not block access to the service. Only strictly necessary cookies are required to browse.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability over your personal data. To exercise them or get more information about cookies, contact us at support@founder-pulse.com.

9. Updates to this policy

FounderPulse may update this policy at any time, in particular when providers are added or regulations change. The last update date is shown at the bottom of the page. We invite you to review it regularly.

Last updated: 3 October 2026. This policy will be updated before any new tracker is added.
